So every now and then I want to share delicious histamine-free foods with you - you CAN live a happy life even if you have histamine intolerance!

Delicious Low Histamine Anti-inflammatory Gluten-free Porridge with Chia Seeds and Peach

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice milk

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • 1/2 cup gluten-free oats

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1-2 fresh peaches, diced

  • (Optional: maple syrup or similar low-histamine sweetener)

Instructions:

  • Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the rice milk, chia seeds, gluten-free oats, and vanilla extract.

  • A) Let it Sit: Allow the mixture to sit for at least 10-15 minutes so that the chia seeds and oats can soften and absorb the rice milk. For a creamier texture, you can refrigerate it overnight.

    B) Cook: cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture begins to thicken and the oats are tender, about 5-7 minutes (I prefer this one)

  • Add Peaches: Before serving, add the diced peaches.

  • Sweeten if Desired: If needed, sweeten with maple syrup, coconut sugar (it adds a caramel-like flavor)

I hope you will enjoy!

I really recommend this book, it's got more than 100 low-histamine recipes - and they are quite yummy! Plus, they are gluten-free (gluten is also inflammatory so I found this book credible)

"I find it hard to find a good recipe book that has the information I'm looking for about the food, while also having the recipe yield good tasting food. This has both, plus pictures. I've bought this book several times as gifts as well, as guests have asked for the recipe and I can share the whole experience."
